NASA authorities say the Curiosity rover makes its first scoop of the the surface of planet Mars and it has detected a vibrant object on the ground.

Authorities stated inside a news release Monday they suspect the object might take part in the six-wheeled rover, however they will not sample or scoop any longer until they determine what it's.

The Curiosity has beamed back pictures of bedrock that advise a fast-moving stream once ran on the planet.

The rover arrived August. 5 and it is on the two-year, $2.5 billion pursuit to study whether microbe existence might have been around on Mars in the past.

Present day Mars is really a frozen desert, but previous geological studies suggest it had been once warmer and wetter.
